About the event

We will host a panel discussion at on how the college is commemorating its past, including a new public art memorial "With These Hands" by Hank Willis Thomas.


The college also is renovating one of its oldest buildings, Oak Row, as a museum, and it's conducting new research on Beaver Dam, the plantation house just outside of town.


Davidson Historical Society President David Boraks will moderate a panel discussion with Davidson history professor Hilary Green and Martha Gimson, the college's historic sites and program manager.
