Notes from our November 16, 2025, tour of the cemetery on North Main Street. Since 1838, it has been the burial place for college leaders (some with ties to the Confederacy), students and other local citizens.

Davidson Historical Society presents its final program of the fall, a tour of the Davidson College Cemetery on North Main Street, on Sunday, November 16, at 3pm. Society vice president Rachel Workman, who also owns and runs the Ghosts of Davidson walking tours, will give a brief talk and lead a tour of the cemetery. The Davidson College Cemetery was built in 1838, just a year after the founding of Davidson College. It's still owned by the college and includes the burial sites
